Money Matters

What’s it all about?

Since I was discharged from hospital, I found that I had time on my hands; I’m a recovering alcoholic and I suffer from Depression and Anxiety but don’t let that put you off!

I started to write a personal blog about my various conditions and found that I really enjoyed writing. Then I started to explore more how I might be able to, perhaps, move into writing as a career and then this lead me to the topic of web marketing and affiliate marketing.

I wrote a few articles and published them on some article publishing sites and lo and behold, people read them!

So, having discovered that I can write, I know a little about the internet and I need to earn some money, I’ve decided to give writing a money making blog a go.

There’s lots of talk about monetizing a blog on the internet but I didn’t feel comfortable adding loads of Adverts to my personal blog about my recovery because it feels a bit cheap profiteering from a medical condition so Money Matters is born.

So What’s Different?

There are loads and loads of web sites promoting money saving and money making ideas on the internet. Some are scams, some are owned by large corporations some simply hold themselves out to be a niche website and then re-direct you to adverts.

I make no bones about the fact that I want to earn money from this site. I currently live off benefits and live in a hostel but I want to re-build my life and start again.

Adverts and links you see on this blog will, I hope, earn me some money. If it’s enough to get me of benefits then great, perhaps I can make an honest living for myself again and, if it works, I’ll share how it was done as well.

My Expertise

I have run businesses, I have travelled the world, I have lived well; so finding myself with nothing and learning how to live on next to no money has been, shall we say, an education.

So, my mission now, is to seek out bargains, discover new ways to make and to save money and to share it with the world. To boldly go where no recovering alcoholic has been before! (Well this one anyway)
